About This Event
Santa Elena, a rural corregimiento above Medellín, holds its sancocho festival next to the main park as a curtain-raiser for the Feria de las Flores. The event grew from a neighbourly exchange of recipes into a contest with fish, chicken and other versions. Roads around the park are closed to vehicles for the day, so plan to arrive on foot or by public transport.
