About This Event
The municipality of Valdivia runs this fair at the Parque Saval fairground, with restaurants and local producers serving soups, caldos, creams and other hot dishes alongside craft beer. Visitors vote for the best soup of the year. The 2026 fair had 60 stands and was the largest so far; the first took place in 2022 and drew around 8,000 people.

Fiesta de la Sopa 2026, 4 and 5 July, 12:00-20:00, at the Centro de Ferias, Parque Saval, Valdivia, with international guest chef Sergi Arola. Saturday: live cooking by local chefs Jerónimo Rosas and Carlos Labrín, Sergi Arola at 17:00, folk dance by Grupo Eluney, and a concert by Mirada Speed (tribute to Virus). Sunday: Sergi Arola at 12:30, more live cooking (Carol Contreras and Ignacio Concha; Gustavo Sandoval), folk dance by Grupo Sangre Andina, the Best Soup 2026 awards at 17:00 and a concert by Banda Combo Chabela. Gastronomic fair of exhibitors all weekend.
