About This Event
Begun in 1981 as a clam chowder contest, the cook-off later added creative, seafood and red-chowder categories. For decades it sat at the Newport Yachting Center and moved to Fort Adams State Park in 2015. Visitors buy a ticket, taste the entries and vote. Children under 12 came in free with a paying adult in the editions listed here.
