About This Event
Imoni is Yamagata's autumn gathering dish, a soupy stew of taro, meat and vegetables eaten outdoors by the river. This festival cooks it on a huge scale on the Mamigasaki riverbank near Sogetsu Bridge and serves it to the public. The festival committee runs it as a community event once a year.
