About This Event
Each year the contest pairs restaurants with retailers and other host businesses along the South Side, so guests walk from shop to shop sampling soups and voting for the best, with awards for people's choice, best vegetarian soup and best host. Guests are asked to bring a food item for a food drive that goes to a South Side pantry. The contest began in 2005; it did not run in 2021 and 2022 and returned in spring 2023.
