About This Event
This autumn, the Fête de la soupe returns to Roubaix's family gardens (jardins familiaux) with two gourmet gatherings. The programme includes tastings, a soup competition, children's activities, nature workshops and convivial moments shared between residents around sometimes surprising, always tasty recipes. Each year the event highlights residents' culinary talents while promoting the family gardens and seasonal eating. It is open to all, centred on simple products and homemade recipes. The first gathering takes place on Saturday 24 October from 12 noon at the Jardin familial Mouvaux, where visitors can take part in the traditional soup competition and taste the preparations made by participants, with several activities including the show 'Le moulin à histoires', an apple-pressing workshop, and creative workshops around ghosts and monstrous creatures ahead of Halloween. The festival continues on Saturday 31 October from 11 am at the Jardin familial Ouest, with the soup competition and tasting, plus a cooking workshop dedicated to discovering comfrey and sage fritters, ending with a concert.
