What's on
In 2007 the festival ran for ten days, from Sunday 22 April to 1 May, with evening events at the Maison Folie Wazemmes (a fado concert with soup au porto on the 25th, a 'Black n'soupe' James Brown tribute on the 27th, Moroccan music with Mohamed Rouicha on the 29th) before the big day on 1 May, 3 pm to midnight, with the Louche d'Or contest. The organisers announced 600 professional artists, and the city council said the festival would 'make soup rhyme with sport' that year; 2007 is also when Attacafa fixed 'SOUPE' as an acronym (Symbole d'Ouverture et d'Union des Peuples Europeens).
