About This Event
Wazemmes becomes an open-air dining room built around soups from many cuisines. Amateur teams cook in front of passers-by while a jury and visitors taste, and there is a separate children's contest. Concerts, brass bands and street shows fill the day, and entry is free.

The thirteenth edition took place on 1 May 2013, with Disco Soupe Lille cooking a 250-litre soup in a giant pot to fight food waste. The official gallery shows the winners raising the trophy on stage, a big crowd, cooks stirring pots and children holding the festival poster. The official palmares page lists no winner for 2013.
