What's on
The 2008 carnival ran 14-16 November on the plaza in front of City Hall, with dozens of beef noodle stalls (many bowls at NT$50) next to a market of farm products. A visiting blogger saw queues still forming after 4 pm. Programme items that year included a health beef noodle launch, a Double Ninth seniors' event, a food-god selection, an international invitational, county-versus-city matches and photo and writing contests. Beef jerky sold well. The 2008 traditional champion was 劉宜敏; Chef Hung won the creative class.
