After the 2021 pause the contest returned in 2022 as the 'Taipei Beef Noodle International Prize', with 101 entries in fresh red-braised, clear-stewed, tomato and instant-pack groups (applications opened 9 August). The finals took place at the Expo Park corridor plaza on 17-18 September 2022, red-braised on the Saturday, with a market of beef noodle stalls under red and white tents. Gold in red-braised went to Jin Da Fang, Lao Ye Hotel (Sichuan-style) and Liang Zhi Beifang.
